Sweet, I added you to my friends so we can keep in touch! I'm going to be there on my way from moving from Salt Lake City to New York so I'll have my car available to drive to wherever. I think our best bet is to the trendier clubs in a wealthy area of town called Shadyside. Likewise, the other bar is more of an after hours bar and it'll be too late for most of the general public to be out after 3 am (they have to work the next morning). There are several clubs downtown but I know for a fact the one won't be busy cause it's 18+ and all the youngsters will have school the next day. You will either need to get a ride or take a cab or what have you. You will probably have to go to Ellsworth Ave in Shadyside, though. I am actually having a party at my condo that Saturday. I usually go out Friday and Saturday nights, too bad you won't be in town sooner. I will have to brush up on which clubs and bars are busy on Sunday nights.
If you are into bar crawls you might want to check out the South Side of the city. Others on here might know better than I). I recommend a place like Six Penn downtown (corner of sixth and Penn) for eating but then you might possibly hit some of the places in Shadyside for nightlife (I am not sure how these are on Sunday either. The good thing is that Pittsburgh proper is fairly small so you can get to those parts of the city pretty quick. There are a few restaurants close by that might be fine for starters but I would travel to other parts of the city for nightlife. It is true that Downtown is pretty dead on Sunday nights. Anything that you can recommend for us to have a great time would be awesome! We'd prefer to stay downtown so we don't have to drive. We love to go out to bars/clubs, and eat at cool/hip r estaurants. Is this true?Ī little about us: We're both 23 and I'm a gay male, my friend is a straight female. I've read several reviews and most say that downtown is completely dead on Sundays. I've never been to Pittsburgh and my question is, what is there to do downtown on a Sunday night? Hello everyone! My friend and I are going to be staying in Downtown Pittsburgh at the Marriott Courtyard next Sunday night.
